     Easy to integrate into display assembly, the TMD2712 can accurately measure IR and ambient light. The module's VCSEL emitters and photodiodes are intentionally off-center, giving manufacturers more flexibility in the placement of sensors and other components, such as cameras. The module's proximity light detection engine provides better suppression of optical crosstalk, reliable operation over long distances, and wide viewing angles without the need for light pipes, risers, or special inks. By using a VCSEL transmitter and implementing power optimization in the module, the TMD2712 can reduce power consumption and minimize the sensor's consumption of battery power. The TMD2712 sensor circuit operates from a 1.8V supply and consumes only 0.7µA in sleep mode.
