XP Power announces a new bare-board 80W power supply

     XP Power officially announces a new bare-board 80W power supply that provides ultra-compact, low-cost solutions for a wide range of lighting, display, industrial and technology applications. This low cost product offers high specifications at a competitive price, ensuring they are suitable for high volume applications.

     Because forced air cooling is not required, the LCE80 series is ideal for fanless applications. This greatly improves the reliability of the overall system, while reducing the size and weight of the system and simplifying the mechanical design. Fanless silent operation makes the LCE80 series ideal for applications where noise can be an issue, such as office environments.

     The LCE80 series has a total of 10 single output models covering a range of 5.0V to 54.0V with efficiencies as high as 90%. Depending on the load, the output operates in constant voltage or constant current mode, ensuring compatibility with a variety of applications.

     The product offers a standard 90 to 305VAC ultra-wide input range, allowing the device to operate safely on a single-phase high line of 277VAC. All modules in the series offer Class I and Class II operation and pass a wide range of relevant certifications including EN55032, EN55015 and EN61000-3 for EMC emissions and EN55035 and EN61547 for EMC immunity. In addition, these devices pass EN/UL/IEC62368-1 for ITE safety and EN61347-1/UL8750 for lighting and displays. For loads greater than 50W, all LCE80 modules meet the harmonic class C limits required for lighting applications. The product also complies with limited power supply (LPS) requirements of 12V and above, ensuring a reduced risk of fire or electric shock during operation and handling, as well as in fault conditions.
