XP Power Introduces New 60W Slim AC-DC Power Supplies for a Variety of Cost-Sensitive Applications

     XP Power introduces a new 60W ultra-thin AC-DC power supply for a variety of cost-sensitive applications including information technology equipment, industrial electronics, household, Internet of Things (IoT) and robotics. In order to further penetrate the market and expand sales, manufacturers in cost-sensitive applications are constantly looking for high-quality, easy-to-use power solutions at attractive prices, and the new VCB60 series meets this need.

     The product operates in the 90-305VAC voltage range and is suitable for 4-wire 480VAC three-phase (277VAC nominal) or single-phase (110/230VAC nominal) systems operating in factories or roadside equipment worldwide. A total of eight modules are available in the series, regulating output voltages from 5.0VDC to 54.0VDC and power levels up to 60W. This convection-cooled product requires no forced air, ensuring silent operation, a common requirement in noise-sensitive audio/video (AV) applications and in office or home environments.

     OVC III (Overvoltage Category III) certification means that the VCB60 series can be used in building wiring upstream of wall sockets that require safety certified products. This certification eliminates any need for additional filtering and safety certification, saving space, time and cost.

     The VCB60 series complies with several certifications, including EN55024, EN55035, EN61000-4 for EMC immunity, and EN55032, EN55014 and EN61000-3 for EMC emissions. Safety certifications include IEC60950, IEC62368 and IEC60355. Extensive certification ensures that the unit can be safely used in a wide range of ITE, industrial and domestic applications, while ensuring it meets noise requirements without the need for external filtering.

     The product is 90% efficient, ensuring waste heat is minimized. This reduces thermal management requirements and also reduces operating temperatures, thereby increasing overall system reliability. Various protection mechanisms are incorporated, including short circuit, overvoltage and overload protection.the VCB60 series is capable of operating in the -10C to +60C temperature range and provides full power up to +50C.
