XP Power Announces Ultra-Wide 85-305VAC Input AC-DC Power Supplies

     XP Power officially announces the LCW series of regulated output enclosure AC-DC power supplies ideal for embedded industrial electronics, technology and devices requiring home certification. The nine new series (LCW15, LCW25, LCW35, LCW50, LCW75, LCW100, LCW150, LCW200 and LCW320) range in power levels from 15W to 320W. All modules comply with EN 55032 Class B conducted and radiated standards for easy low-cost integration and feature integrated connector covers for increased safety after installation.

     The LCW series has an input voltage range of 85 to 305VAC, meets global regulatory requirements, is rated for input from 100VAC to 277VAC, and the 150W, 200W and 320W modules feature active PFC functionality. Applications include auxiliary power, security devices, lighting controls, smart home or office systems, and ticketing and vending machines.

     Depending on the power level, the LCW series is available with rated outputs from 3.3V to 48V. In order to adapt to non-standard voltage applications, all module products can be adjusted by ±10% by the user without exceeding the rated output voltage.

     The LCW series has an ultra-wide operating temperature range of -30°C to +70°C, provides full rated power up to +50°C, and derates linearly to 60% at +70°C. The LCW series uses natural convection cooling and can power up to 200W, while the higher power LCW320 series uses an integrated temperature-controlled cooling fan to reduce noise.

     The product's ultra-thin and compact design further simplifies integration into end applications. Standard features of the LCW series include low standby power consumption below 0.3W and output short-circuit protection, as well as overcurrent and overvoltage protection. In addition, the LCW320 series has a power "on" LED. As an option, a conformal coated version is available.

     The input to output isolation of this product is 4000VAC, the input to ground isolation is 2000VAC, and the output to ground isolation is 500VAC. All modules are UL/EN 62368-1 safety certified, and modules in the LCW35/50/75/100/150 series are also EN 60335 safety certified for home automation and applications requiring home or domestic approval. The product operates at altitudes up to 5000 meters, enhancing its global application.
