Wurth Electronics launches optocoupler products

     Wurth Electronics has expanded its optoelectronics product line by adding optocoupler products with all common packages and CTR (current transfer ratio) values. It includes WL-OCPT phototriode types in DIP-4, SOP-4 and LSOP-4 packages, and WL-OCDA Darlington structures in DIP-4 and SOP-4 packages. Different packages also contain a range of lead frame varieties. The CTR value of an element ranges from 20% to 15,000 percent based on Binning classification. In addition, DIN EN 60747-5-5 certified components operate at temperatures ranging from -55 ° C to +110 ° C

     In many applications, the isolation of low-power control circuits from high-power circuits is an important safety issue. The optocoupler prevents interference and overvoltage in power supplies, chargers, computers, microprocessors, sequence controllers, programmable logic controllers, measuring devices and other applications. In designing the optocoupler, Wurth Electronics chose a coplanar structure with a constant isolation gap, which can ensure isolation voltages up to 5000 V. High quality silicone and polymer materials provide 100% internal reflection, ensuring a stable CTR over the entire temperature range.
