Vishay's Transient Voltage Suppressors Offer High Temperature Stability and High Reliability

     Vishay's 24 V surface mount XClampR transient voltage suppressor (TVS) packaged in an SMC (DO-214AB) provides up to 7 kW of peak pulse power consumption at 10/1000 μs. These bidirectional devices feature an industry-low clamping ratio (VC/VWM) and provide high power density for automotive, telecom and industrial applications over a wide operating temperature range of -55°C to +175°C. Housed in an SMC (DO-214AB) package, the XMC7K24CA family of devices features a low maximum clamping voltage of 24 V, provides a clamping ratio of 1 (1.4 for traditional TVS), and achieves a peak pulse current of 180 A at a power rating of 7 kW .

     Suitable for high reliability applications, Vishay General Semiconductor TVS are available in AEC-Q101 qualified versions and feature an extremely stable breakdown voltage of 26.7 V to 29.5 V over their entire operating temperature range. TVS is designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients caused by inductive load switching and lightning, suitable for automotive load dump protection and signal line protection in industrial robots and telecommunication systems.
