Vishay's IR emitters provide 30% higher radiant intensity with 20% less substrate area

Vishay's optoelectronics portfolio now includes six 850 nm and 940 nm high-power infrared (IR) emitters that deliver best-in-class radiation intensities in 3.4mm x 3.4mm surface-mount packages. These devices are based on Vishay's SurfLight™ Surface emitter chip technology and are designed for high drive currents of up to 1.5 ADC and 5 A pulses in industrial and consumer applications.

These sensors provide 30% higher radiation intensity than previous generation solutions and 10% higher than other similar products. These values enable greater illumination distances while minimizing the number of components, resulting in lower cost and space savings.

For further space savings, emitter footprint is 20% smaller than comparable devices and previous generation solutions
