Vishay launches vPolyTan

     Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced the launch of a new series of vPolyTanÔ surface mount polymer tantalum molded chip capacitors, the T50 series capacitors, with reliable performance under high temperature and high humidity conditions.

     Vishay Polytech T50 series capacitors feature a robust design for improved sealing and enhanced environmental protection in harsh environments. The device can operate at a high temperature of +125 °C, and has undergone 500 hours of temperature and humidity bias (THB) testing at 85 °C and 85 % relative humidity, making it ideal for harsh environments such as industrial, defense, aerospace, and edge computing applications. Ideal for coupling, smoothing and filtering capacitors.

     The T50 series is a D form factor (EIA 7343-30) device with an ESR as low as 25 mW and a ripple current of up to 3.0 A. The device has a capacitance range of 10 µF to 330 µF, voltage ratings from 2.5 V to 35 V, and a tolerance of ± 20 %. The capacitors are RoHS and Vishay Green compliant and halogen free.
