Vishay launches MiniLED packaged high brightness small blue and pure green leds

Vishay Intertechnology has announced the launch of new blue and pure green surface mount leds in the ultra-small MiniLED package -VLMB2332T1U2-08 and VLMTG2332ABCA-08. Vishay Semiconductors VLMB2332T1U2-08 and VLMTG2332ABCA-08 have dimensions of 2.2mm x 1.3mm x 1.4mm and use advanced ultra-bright InGaN chip technology.

     Vishay Intertechnology has announced the launch of new blue and pure green surface mount leds in the ultra-small MiniLED package -VLMB2332T1U2-08 and VLMTG2332ABCA-08. Vishay Semiconductors VLMB2332T1U2-08 and VLMTG2332ABCA-08 have dimensions of 2.2mm x 1.3mm x 1.4mm and use advanced ultra-bright InGaN chip technology. Typical luminous intensities of 440 mcd and 2300 mcd, respectively, are four times higher than the previous generation of PLCC-2 package solutions.

 

     The high brightness and small size of leds released today are perfect for small, high-power products that need to work reliably in harsh environments. Typical applications include medical phototherapy; Lights for agricultural equipment and energy generation systems; Indicators and backlights for office, entertainment and communication equipment; LCD switch and universal signage.

 

     In addition, the VLMTG2332ABCA-0 has a typical wavelength of 525 nm at 20 mA, making it ideal for fitness trackers and other heart rate detection devices with varying rates of green light absorption. The VLMB2332T1U2-08 has a typical wavelength of 465 nm at 20 mA and is suitable for smoke detectors that use short-wavelength blue light to detect tiny particles.

 

     The LED MiniLED package uses a lead frame embedded in a white thermoplastic material. The semi-intensity Angle of the device is ± 60°, the viewing Angle is 120°, and it is suitable for uniform lighting and backlighting, and the typical forward voltage is 2.9 V. VLMB2332T1U2-08 and VLMTG2332ABCA-08 are packaged according to package unit, luminous intensity and color.

 

     Leds comply with RoHS and Vishay green standards, are halogen-free, packaged with 8 mm tape, ESD pressure resistance up to 2 kV, meet the requirements of JESD22-A114-B, pre-treated according to JEDEC Level 2a, suitable for J-STD-020 infrared reflow welding process and automatic picking and placing machine processing.
