Vishay Intertechnology introduces a new fast fusing film patch fuse -MFU 0603 AT. The Vishay Beyschlag MFU 0603 AT is AEC-Q200 compliant with current ratings from 0.5 A to 5.0 A for a wide range of automotive applications.
In addition to small-load circuit protection, the recently announced devices can also be used for voltage detection circuit protection in electric (EV) and hybrid (HEV) vehicle battery management systems. The highly controlled film manufacturing process for fuses ensures extremely stable fusing characteristics in these applications.
The MFU 0603AT is a robust design with a homogeneous metal alloy film deposited on the surface of a high-grade ceramic substrate, and the fuses are coated with electrical, mechanical and climate protection. The high sulfur resistance of the device meets ASTM B 809 standards, and has been tested for 1,000 hours at 85 °C / 85% relative humidity and thermal shock.
The fuse size is 0603, the rated voltage is 63 V, the breaking capacity is 50 A, and the operating temperature range is -55 C to +125 C. The fuses are RoHS and Vishay green compliant, halogen-free and suitable for automatic SMD assembly systems, as well as for wave soldering, reflow soldering or gas phase automatic welding.
