Vishay introduces automotive-grade IHLP inductors that operate continuously at +155 °C

     Vishay Intertechnology introduces the industry's leading 19 mm x 19 mm x 7 mm 7575 external size Automotive grade IHLP® thin high current inductor - IHLP-7575GZ-5A. The Vishay Dale IHLP-7575GZ-5A has a DC resistance (DCR) 30% lower than the 6767 form factor, 35% higher rated current, 50% lower cost than the 8787 form factor, and can operate continuously at +155 °C in the automotive engine bay.

     The inductors released today comply with the AEC-Q200 standard and are suitable for DC/DC converter energy storage below 2 MHz, as well as high current filtering below the inductor self-resonant frequency (SRF). The device operates at high temperatures for automotive engines and transmission and control units, fuel injection drives, entertainment/navigation systems, as well as high-current brushless direct current (BLDC) motor noise suppression, wipers, electric mirrors and seats, HID and LED lighting, filtering of heating ventilation fans, and DC/DC conversion.

     The IHLP-7575GZ-5A package uses a 100% lead-free (Pb) shielded composite structure, which reduces the buzz noise to a very low level, has high thermal shock resistance, moisture resistance, mechanical vibration resistance, and can handle high transient current spikes without saturation. Inductors comply with RoHS and Vishay green standards and are halogen-free.
