Vishay introduces an enhanced thick diaphragm resistor rated at 0.5 W

     Vishay Intertechnology has announced the availability of the enhanced Vishay Draloric RCC1206 e3 thick diaphragm resistor with an external dimension of 1206 and a power rating of 0.5W.

     The RCC1206 e3 is twice as powerful as this standard-sized thick diaphragm resistor and can be used to replace two 1206 resistors in parallel or a single 1210 form factor with a larger footprint. As a result, designers can save board space for automotive, industrial, communications and medical applications, while reducing the number of components and reducing processing costs.

     The RCC1206 e3 is AEC-Q200 certified with resistance values ranging from 1 W to 1 MW - 0 W jumper - accuracy of ± 1% and ± 5%, respectively, and resistance temperature coefficient (TCR) of ± 100 ppm/K and ± 200 ppm/K. Resistance operating voltage is 200 V, operating temperature range -55 °C to +155 °C. The device is RoHS compliant, halogen-free and suitable for machining on automatic mounters using IEC 61760-1 compliant wave soldering, reflow soldering or gas phase welding processes.
