Vishay Intertechnology introduces a new series of AEC-Q200 certified high power thin film surround patch resistors, the PHPA series. The Vishay Dale Film PHPA series resistors are available in 1206 and 2512 dimensions, with power ratings of 1.0 W and 2.5 W respectively, and use self-passivating tantalum nitride resistance film technology with excellent moisture resistance.
In addition to industrial test and measurement equipment, the devices announced today can also be used in automotive power supplies, braking systems, on-board chargers and motor deflection circuits. Resistors with high power ratings, absolute TCR as low as 25 ppm/C, and accuracy of 0.1 % meet the precision performance requirements of the above applications.
PHPA series device resistance ranges from 10 to 30.1 k, device noise is less than -30 dB, voltage coefficient is less than 0.1 ppm/V, and operating voltage is 200 V. The resistor uses a high-purity ceramic substrate with a larger pad on the back to reduce the thermal resistance between the top resistor layer and the PCB solder joint.
