Vishay Introduces New High Saturation Current Inductors to Improve System Saturation and Temperature Stability

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. introduces new high saturation current inductors with 50 % lower direct current resistance (DCR) than common power inductors to improve the efficiency of high frequency DC/DC converters. The device is housed in an ultra-thin 10 mm x 6 mm x 10 mm 4024 form factor package for improved current density and a radially fixed design to save board space.

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. introduces new high saturation current inductors with 50 % lower DC resistance (DCR) than common power inductors to improve the efficiency of high frequency DC/DC converters. Vishay Dale IHVR-4024KE-51 is similar in material and structure to IHLP, and has excellent saturation current and temperature stability. The device is housed in an ultra-thin 10 mm x 6 mm x 10 mm 4024 form factor package for improved current density and a radially fixed design to save board space.

Recently released inductors operating up to +155 °C, suitable for DC/DC converter energy storage, frequencies up to 5 MHz, inductors with excellent noise in high current filtering applications in the self-resonant frequency (SRF) range attenuation performance. IHVR-4024KE-51 applications include servers and desktop PCs, high-current point-of-load (POL) converters, multiphase high-current power supplies, battery-powered equipment, distributed power systems, and FPGAs.

100 % lead (Pb)-free shielded composite construction in inductor lead package, ultra-low buzzer noise reduction, RoHS compliant, extremely high resistance to thermal shock, moisture and mechanical vibration, can handle high transients without saturation variable current spikes.
