Vishay Introduces New Automotive Grade High Voltage Thin Film Flat Chip Resistors

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced the launch of the 0805 form-size compact device to expand its TNPV E3 family of automotive grade high-voltage thin-film flat sheet resistors. Vishay Draloric TNPV0805 E3 is the industry's advanced 0805 size small device, operating voltage up to 450 V, tolerance down to 0.1 %, TCR only 10 PPM /K.

     Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced that it has expanded its TNPV e3 series of automotive-grade high-voltage thin-film flat chip resistors with the introduction of the 0805 small form factor device. The Vishay Draloric TNPV0805 e3 is the industry's most advanced 0805 form factor small device, operating up to 450 V, with tolerances as low as 0.1 %, and a TCR of only 10 ppm/K.

     Small size and high voltage, the TNPV0805 e3 can replace larger packaged resistors and multiple devices of similar form factor without compromising accuracy, reducing the number of components, saving board space, and reducing costs. The devices are AEC-Q200 qualified and typical applications include automotive and industrial inverter voltage measurements, battery management system voltage dividers, on-board chargers, and test and measurement equipment.

     The TNPV e3 series resistors are available in 0805, 1206, and 1210 frame sizes, with resistance values from 121 k to 3.01 M, operating temperatures from -55 C to +155 C, and the largest form factor device operating voltages up to 1,000 V. The resistance is very stable and reliable under various environmental conditions, with rated power and +70 °C ambient temperature, the maximum resistance change rate of 1,000 hours is ≤ 0.05 %, with excellent moisture resistance (85 °C, 85 % relative humidity), sulfur resistance Capability meets ASTM B 809 regulations.

     The device is suitable for automatic SMD assembly system chip processing and automatic soldering. The resistors are halogen-free, RoHS compliant, and the pure tin plating is compatible with lead (Pb) and lead (Pb)-free soldering processes.
