Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced that it has launched a new series of AEC-Q200 qualified chassis mount wirewound resistors, the RHA series, for the growing electric vehicle (EV) market.
Vishay Dale RHA series resistors are mounted directly on the car chassis for heat dissipation. This high-reliability device features an all-solder molded construction for full environmental protection and an operating temperature of -55°C to +250°C. In addition to tail lamp voltage dividers and current limiters for interior lighting dimming circuits, resistors can also be used as pre-charge and discharge resistors for electric vehicles.
The devices announced today are available in four small packages with power ratings up to 50 W. The resistors are highly accurate and stable with a tolerance of only 1 %, a TCR temperature coefficient as low as 20 ppm/C, and a resistance range of 0.1 k to 39.2 k. RHA series resistors are RoHS and Vishay Green compliant and halogen free.
