Vishay Introduces IHSR High-Temperature Commercial Inductors with Ultra-Low DC Internal Resistance for Multiphase Power Supplies

     Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced the launch of a new IHSR high temperature commercial inductor, the IHSR-2525CZ-51, in a 7.4 mm x 6.6 mm x 3.0 mm 2525 form factor. Vishay Dale IHSR-2525CZ-51 is specially designed for multi-phase high current power supply and filter. The DC internal resistance (DCR) is 50% lower than that of general power inductors. Compared with ferrite solution, the whole operating temperature range, It has excellent inductive value stability and has soft saturation characteristics

     The inductors released today are based on Vishay's popular IHLP® technology and operate at frequencies up to 10MHz, making them ideal for DC/DC converter energy storage and high-current filtering below the inductor's self-resonant frequency (SRF). The device operates at a temperature of +155 C and is suitable for notebooks, desktops and servers; POL converters; graphics cards; distributed power systems and FPGA filtering and DC/DC conversion.

     The IHSR-2525CZ-51 has a typical DC internal resistance as low as 0.38 mΩ and an inductance value of 0.056 µH, which is the highest current density in the same technology, and the 3 mm height enables thinner and lighter finished designs. The inductor package features a 100 % lead (Pb)-free shielded composite structure that reduces buzzing noise to ultra-low levels, provides high resistance to thermal shock, moisture, and mechanical vibration, and can handle high transient current spikes without saturation. The device is RoHS and Vishay Green compliant and halogen free.
