Vishay Introduces Automotive Grade IHLP Inductors in 7575 Package for Continuous Operation at +155 °C

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc has introduced the industry's most advanced automotive grade IHLP® thin High Current inductor in size of 19 mm x 19 mm x 7 mm 7575 - IHLP-7575GZ-5A The Vishay Dale IHLP-7575GZ-5A direct current resistance (DCR) is 30% lower than the 6767 content-size device, 35% higher rated current, 50% lower cost than the 8787 content-size device, and can operate continuously at high temperatures of +155 °C in the automotive engine compartment.

Vishay Dale IHLP-7575GZ-5A DC resistance (DCR) 30 % lower than 6767 form factor device, 35 % higher current rating, 50 % lower cost than 8787 form factor device, continuous operation in automotive engine compartment +155 °C .

The recently released inductors are AEC-Q200 compliant, suitable for energy storage in DC/DC converters below 2 MHz, and high-current filtering below the inductor self-resonant frequency (SRF). The devices can operate at high temperatures and are suitable for automotive engines and transmission control units, fuel injection drives, entertainment/navigation systems, and high-current brushless DC (BLDC) motor noise suppression, wipers, power mirrors and seats, HID and LED lighting, filtering and DC/DC conversion for heating fans.

The IHLP-7575GZ-5A package features a 100 % lead (Pb)-free shielded composite structure, which reduces buzzing noise to very low levels, provides high resistance to thermal shock, moisture, and mechanical vibration, and can handle high transient currents without saturation peak.
