Vishay Expands Resistance Range of MC AT Precision Series Thin Film Chip Resistors in 0402, 0603, and 0805 Packages

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announces enhanced MC AT Precision Series Automotive grade thin-film resistors with an expanded resistance range for devices in packages 0402, 0603, and 0805. The Vishay Beyschlag device has a high resistance value, a temperature coefficient (TCR) as low as ± 25 PPM /K with a tolerance of ±0.1 %, and a thin film resistance stability.

     Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced the enhancement of the MC AT Precision Series of Automotive Grade Thin Film Chip Resistors, extending the resistance range of 0402, 0603 and 0805 packaged devices. Vishay Beyschlag devices offer high resistance with a temperature coefficient (TCR) as low as ± 25 ppm/K, a tolerance of only ± 0.1 %, and sheet resistance stability.

     The resistance of MCS 0402 AT, MCT 0603 AT and MCU 0805 AT has been expanded from 47 W to 1 MW, 2 MW and 7.5 MW, respectively. The resistance of MCA 1206 AT, which was strengthened before, has reached 10 MW. Small, high-value devices can be used to replace larger devices, eliminating the need for multiple low-value resistors in series, saving space and reducing cost.

     The device has excellent moisture resistance, excellent temperature cycling stability, high sulfur resistance according to ASTM B 809 standard, and is very stable in harsh environments such as automotive, industrial, medical and communication equipment. Typical applications include DC/DC converters, DC-Linking and voltage dividers for battery management systems, vehicle and wall chargers, power inverters, electronic compressors and transimpedance amplifier networks.

     The MC AT precision series resistors operate from 50 V to 200 V, with power ratings from 100 mW to 400 mW at +70 °C ambient temperature, and -55 °C to +155 °C operating temperature. The device is AEC-Q200 qualified and RoHS compliant.
