Toshiba launches 1500V high-voltage automotive photorelay

     Shiba Electronic Components & Storage Co., Ltd. announced that it has released the "TLX9160T", a normally-open (NO) 1-Form-A photorelay suitable for high-voltage automotive batteries. Housed in an SO16L-T package, the new device is Toshiba's first product with a high output withstand voltage of 1500V (min).

     The new devices have built-in high-voltage MOSFETs with output voltages up to 1500V (min). Its SO16L-T package is manufactured with resin that meets the requirements of IEC 60664-1 International Standard Material Group I[[1]. The CTI[2] of this package exceeds 600, the pin count is reduced by 4 (pins 11 to 14 are removed from the existing SO16L package), and a creepage of no less than 5mm[3] can be achieved in the detector of the device distance. This ensures support for a supply voltage of 1000V under the IEC 60664-1 standard, making this photorelay suitable for high-voltage automotive applications with battery voltages up to 1000V.
