Toshiba Introduces Voltage-Driven Photorelay with Industry's Smallest Surface Mount Area

     Toshiba Electronic Components and Storage Co., Ltd. has introduced a photorelay "TLP3406SRHA" with an off-state output voltage of 30V. This new addition to the voltage-driven photorelay product line is rated for a maximum operating temperature of 125°C and is housed in an S-VSON4T package with one of the smallest surface mount areas in the industry. Off-state output voltages of 20V, 30V, and 60V are achieved in this product line, which includes five previously introduced products

     The new product TLP3406SRHA has an off-state output voltage of 30V, a rated on-current of 1.5A, and a maximum rated operating temperature of 125°C, so it can be used in high-temperature environments. This also enlarges the thermal margin of the device being designed. In addition, this voltage-driven product integrates a resistor on the input side, so no external resistor is required. This helps reduce the space required on the circuit board and also increases the number of photorelays that can be installed.

     The TLP3406SRHA is ideal for applications such as semiconductor test equipment and probe cards that require a large number of relays to fit on a board with limited space
