Toshiba Introduces First Products in TXZ+ Advanced Series - Arm Cortex-M4 Microcontrollers for Motor Control

     Toshiba Electronic Components & Storage Corporation announced that it has started mass production of 12 new products in the M4K group for motor control, which are also the first products in the TXZ+TM family of advanced series.Both the M4K group and M4M group microcontrollers will be produced on a 40nm process and belong to the TXZ4A+ series.

     The above products use the Arm Cortex-M4 core with FPU, run at up to 160MHz, and integrate the motor control circuit A-PMD (Advanced Programmable Motor Driver), 32-bit encoder A-ENC (Advanced Encoder) and vector engine A- VE+ (Advanced Vector Engine+). And it is equipped with up to three units of high-speed, high-resolution 12-bit analog-to-digital converters, which can provide ideal solutions for AC motor, DC brushless motor and various inverter control.

     The M4K group integrates UART, SPI and I2C general communication interfaces, while the M4M group also adopts the CAN communication interface. Both product portfolios feature ROM, RAM, ADC and clock self-diagnostics to help customers pass IEC60730 Class B functional safety certification. Both product groups achieve low current consumption and high functionality while maintaining good compatibility with the existing TXZTM family M4K(2) group.
