The Motor Control Embedded Processing product portfolio expands with more than 35 new MCUS

     Renesas Electronics has released three new motor control MCU units. The company is introducing more than 35 new products, including the RX and RA family of devices. The new MCU adds a motor control product portfolio that includes multiple MCU and MPU families, analog and power solutions, sensors, communications devices, signal regulators and more. The company is rolling out two new MCU groups for its RA family of Arm Cortex-M devices.

     The RA4T1 group offers 100MHz performance, up to 256KB of flash memory, and 40KB of SRAM. The new RA6T3 group offers a 200MHz operating frequency, 256KB of flash memory and 40KB of SRAM. Both of these new sets of products offer impressive features and capabilities for motor control applications, including trigonometric function units (tfu) for acceleration, advanced ADCs that integrate PGA, and multiple communication interface options including CAN FD.

     The company's flexible software package supports new parts to easily port designs from other RA family devices. The company also offers the RX family of new RX26T group MCUS operating at 120MHz, with up to 512KB of flash memory and 64KB of SRAM. They support a 5V power supply, providing high noise resistance and control precision. They also provide tfu, on-chip timing, and interrupt control. Customers of the popular RX24T mcu can effortlessly extend the design to new RX26T products to leverage existing design software while achieving performance and control efficiency improvements.
