Texas Instruments' TLV1805 high-voltage comparator offers a unique combination of a wide supply range, push-pull output, rail to rail input, low quiescent current, closing capability, and fast output response. These characteristics make it more suitable for applications that need to use positive or negative voltage sensing rails, such as the reverse current protection controller of smart diodes, over-current sensing, push-pull output stage and over-voltage protection circuits to drive p-channel or n-channel MOSFET switches at the door.

     The Texas Instruments TLV1805 High voltage comparator offers a unique combination of a wide range of supplies, push-pull outputs, rail-to-rail inputs, low static current, shutdown capability, and fast output response. The TLV1805 is packaged in a 6-pin SOT-23 package for the extended industrial temperature range from -40°C to +125°C.

 

     These features make this suitable for applications requiring positive or negative voltage sensing rails such as smart diode reverse current protection controllers, overcurrent sensing, push-pull output stages, and overvoltage protection circuits used to drive gate p channel or n channel MOSFET switches.

 

     The peak current push-pull output stage, which is unique to high voltage comparators, provides the advantage of allowing the output to actively drive the load to either supply rail at a fast edge rate. This is valuable in applications where the MOSFET gate needs to be driven up or down quickly to connect or disconnect the host from an unexpectedly high voltage power supply. The TLV1805 device features low input bias voltage, low input bias current, and high Z-off, making it flexible enough to handle a wide range of applications. Power-on reset (POR) prevents incorrect output during power-on.
