Texas Instruments' TPS37044 Multi-Channel Window Supervisor

     Texas Instruments' TPS37044 is a low-power precision window or standard voltage supervisor that can be configured as quad, triple, dual, or single. In the 8-lead (1.6 mm x 2.9 mm) SOT-23 package, the threshold accuracy of each channel is ±1% in a small size. The TPS37044 includes very accurate threshold detection with high resolution, making the device ideal for systems operating on low voltage rails with narrow margin supply tolerances. Built-in low-threshold thermal hysteresis and fixed reset delay (tD selectable from 20 μs to 1,200 ms) prevent false reset signals when monitoring multiple voltage rails.

     The TPS37044 does not require external resistors to set the overvoltage and undervoltage reset thresholds, further optimizing the overall accuracy, cost, solution size, and reliability of the safety system. Separate VDD and SENSEx pins allow monitoring of rail voltages other than VDD, or can be used as pushbutton inputs. The SENSEx pin supports the use of external resistors (optional). Each channel can be customized for its own overvoltage and undervoltage window detection, with upper and lower threshold tolerances that can be symmetric or asymmetric.
