Teledyne FLIR introduces the new Neutrino series of medium wave infrared camera modules

Teledyne FLIR introduces the Neutrino SX8 Medium Wave infrared (MWIR) camera module and six Neutrino IS series modules integrated with Teledyne FLIR CZ lenses. Designed for integrated solutions that require high-definition midwave infrared imaging while being limited by size, weight, power, and cost (SWaP+C), commercial, industrial, and defense original equipment manufacturers (Oems) and system integrators.

Based on Teledyne FLIR HOT FPA (Focal Plane Array for High Temperature Operation) technology, the Neutrino SX8 provides high performance, 1280 x 1024 HD medium wave infrared imaging for enhanced products requiring long life, low power, quiet and low vibration operation. The Neutrino SX8 and Neutrino IS series modules are ideal for integration with applications such as small balance frames, body structures, handheld devices, surveillance cameras, targeting devices, and asset monitoring.

The newly launched Neutrino medium wave infrared camera module will help customers significantly reduce time to market and reduce project risk through generic design and off-the-shelf delivery. Teledyne FLIR will also provide a high-quality technical services team to support customers with integration and expertise throughout the development and design cycle. All medium wave infrared camera modules and solutions in the Neutrino series fall under EAR 6A003.b.4.a of the U.S. Department of Commerce and are not subject to the International Trade in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

The Neutrino IS series is a Neutrino SWaP series camera module with integrated Teledyne FLIR CZ lenses (output ports are VGA or SXGA). The Neutrino IS series consists of four camera modules integrated with Neutrino LC and two camera modules integrated with Neutrino SX8, all of which provide clear mid-wave infrared imaging over long ranges. The combination of dedicated design, foundry integrated CZ lenses and medium wave infrared camera modules offers customers high performance, low cost, fast lead times and high risk returns unmatched by other camera and lens suppliers.
