TT Electronics has introduced the LRMAP4026 series of low-resistance metal alloy power resistors designed for use in power supply, motor drive and battery monitoring. This series of resistors provides four-terminal Kelvin accuracy and high current capacity for all industrial applications, including automotive.

     TT Electronics announced the introduction of LRMAP4026 series low resistance metal alloy power resistors, designed for power supply, motor drive and battery monitoring. This series of resistors can provide four terminal Kelvin precision and high current capacity for all industrial applications, including automobiles. Because the four terminal Kelvin connection improves the accuracy, it will only consume a small part of the design error, thus achieving greater design freedom in other parts of the circuit. Gull wing design brings the space between PCB board and it reduces the temperature rise of PCB board to the greatest extent, and improves the reliability of components.


     "The electron beam welded SMT shunt LRMAP4026 is the latest member of TT Electronics' expanding (AEC-Q200 certified) SMT current sensing resistor series," said Brian Stephenson, engineering director of TT Electronics. "This series of new products can help our customers achieve accurate and stable current measurement, and are adaptive to surges, while controlling the heat entering PCB copper foil."

 

     The LRMAP4026 resistor can provide up to 5W power in 4026 package size. This product can provide seven resistance values from 0.2 to 3m Ω, providing designers with high flexibility in using durable components. It has a wide temperature range from - 65 to+170 ° C, and is suitable for harsh application environments. The four terminal design completely separates the current path and voltage sensing, thus reducing the difference between the non installed and installed resistance and TCR value, which is also a common problem in the two terminal design.


     The product has a tolerance of 1% and a TCR of 50ppm/° C, and has both precision and high surge capacity of metal alloy technology. Its high surge resistance can ensure reliable performance under surge and transient short circuit conditions.
