TT Electronics Adds New Member to AEC-Q200 Qualified Current Sensing Resistor Family with SMT Kelvin Shunt Resistor, New LRMAP4026 Metal Alloy Power Resistor Provides True Four-Terminal Connection for Sub-milliohm Currents Sensing the environment

      TT Electronics announces the LRMAP4026 series of low resistance metal alloy power resistors designed for power supply, motor drive and battery monitoring applications. This series of resistors provides four-terminal Kelvin accuracy and high current capacity for all industrial applications including automotive. Because the four-terminal Kelvin connection improves accuracy, it consumes only a small amount of design error, allowing greater design freedom in other parts of the circuit. The gull-wing design provides clearance from the PCB, which minimizes the temperature rise of the circuit board while increasing the reliability of the assembly.

      "The LRMAP4026 electron beam welded SMT shunt is the latest addition to TT Electronics' growing family of AEC-Q200 qualified SMT current sense resistors," said Brian Stephenson, director of engineering, TT Electronics. )Say.       The LRMAP4026 resistors provide up to 5W in the 4026 package size. The product is available in seven resistance values from 0.2 to 3mΩ, providing designers with a high degree of flexibility in using durable components, with a wide temperature range of -65 to +170°C for harsh application environments. The four-terminal design completely separates the current path and voltage sensing, which reduces the difference between unmounted and mounted resistors and TCR values, a common problem with two-terminal designs.

      With a 1% tolerance and a TCR of 50ppm/°C, this product combines precision with the high surge capability of metal alloy technology. Its high surge withstand capability ensures reliable performance under surge and transient short-circuit conditions.
