Texas Instruments has introduced a new line of advanced humidity sensors that not only provide ultra-high reliability, accuracy and ultra-low power consumption in the industry, but also provide built-in protection through induction components.      Texas Instruments has launched a new family of advanced humidity sensors that not only provide the industry's highest reliability and accuracy, and ultra-low power consumption, but also provide built-in protection mechanisms through the sensing element. With the HDC3020 and HDC3020-Q1, engineers will be able to create more reliable industrial and automotive systems that resist potential damage from moisture and respond to changing humidity conditions as needed.

This consistent and long-lasting accuracy extends system life without the need for frequent sensor replacement or recalibration. Low temperature drift is especially important in long-life applications as it allows for better performance and higher reliability over time.

     Both the HDC3020 and HDC3020-Q1 provide higher accuracy over the entire supply voltage range of 1.62V to 5.5V and an ultra-wide temperature and humidity range of ±1.5% relative humidity (National Institute of Standards and Technology procedures authenticating). This high accuracy enables more precise system control, ensuring that the system only operates when necessary, increasing efficiency.In addition, the HDC3020 and HDC3020-Q1 are available in a variety of pin-to-pin compatible package covers, such as removable polyimide tape covers and IP67-rated fixed filter covers. These covers protect the device from ingress dust and moisture during assembly and system operation, and help the sensor maintain accuracy in contaminated environments.

     The HDC3020 and HDC3020-Q1 provide nanoamp ultra-low power consumption over a wide supply voltage range of 1.62V to 5.5V, enabling low-power operation in active active and sleep modes.
