TDK's KCZ-DH Common Mode Filter

     TDK Corporation has developed the KCZ-DH series of common mode filters for automotive applications. This series provides noise control for automotive high-speed differential transmission signal lines and is available in a 1210 case size (1.25 mm x 1.0 mm x 0.5 mm).

     The increase in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) has led to a rapidly growing demand for forward-sensing cameras and surround-view monitors. Common mode filters can be used as anti-noise products for camera signal lines in autonomous vehicles. In order to process a large number of video signals, the signal transmission rate will continue to increase to build a safe and reliable autonomous driving system.

     These products support high-speed signaling at 12 Gbps. Additionally, they help control noise in the GHz band due to increased speeds. By supporting an operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C and employing conductive resin-based electrodes, they also control product cracking due to thermal shock, while improving resistance to mechanical stress such as substrate strain. These common mode filters are also AEC-Q200 qualified, making them ideal for differential transmission interfaces in automotive ADAS applications such as cameras, displays, infotainment systems, and more.
