TDK launches new compact high-voltage contactor HVC43

TDK has expanded its product range of non-polar DC high voltage contactors with the launch of the new HVC43 (B88269X3**0C011) series. The new products have continuous operating currents from 150 A DC to 250 A DC, up to 1000 V DC operating voltages, a choice of 12 V or 24 V coils, and a power consumption of 6 W.

The new HVC43 series has a compact size of 78 x 40.4 x 74.5 mm (L x W x H) and weighs 300 grams. Compared to the HVC200, HVC300 and HVC500 series designed for 1200 V DC and 500 A DC continuous current, the size and weight are reduced by 30%.

Equipped with an airtight gas-filled ceramic arc chamber, the new series of contactors have excellent arc-extinguishing performance and are designed for fast interruption of large DC currents in on-board lithium-ion batteries, charging stations or energy storage systems.
