TDK launches high-precision pressure transmitter with ultra-thin design

     TDK Group has launched a new high-precision AVD series pressure transmitter with an ultra-low profile design. Ordering code B58621V*, the new series of elements is available in three models with optional pressure measurement ranges of 0 to 16 mbar, 0 to 100 mbar and 0 to 7 bar. These piezoresistive pressure transmitters are based on Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology and offer features such as: compact size with a footprint of 31 x 40 mm and insertion height of only 12.9 mm, suitable for applications in confined spaces; high-precision measurement Low pressure, with a measurement accuracy of ±1.75% FS (full scale) at a pressure range of 100 mbar; a wide range of applications can be used for pressure measurement applications of air and other non-corrosive gases. In addition, they are not only capable of measuring differential pressure, but are also suitable for overpressure measurement applications in the temperature range of -20°C to +70°C.

     The transmitter has two self-locking pressure ports, can be easily assembled using a 4 mm inner diameter hose, and is equipped with an I2C (Inter-Integrated Circuit) digital output interface with a resolution of up to 14 bits. Not only does I2C serve as a standard digital interface for communicating with controls in industrial applications, it also provides an additional temperature signal output. The transmitter is also equipped with two plug connectors for easy daisy-chaining systems, which facilitate the assignment of addresses to multiple sensors on the same network. These advantageous features make the sensor system ideal for demanding industrial applications such as pressure level measurement, flow control and filter monitoring, including applications in the fields of pumps and compressors, pneumatic systems, building management systems or Industry 4.0.
