TDK launches compact EP 6 transformer for ultrasonic applications

     The TDK Group is proud to present the new B78416A* series of compact EPCOS EP6 transformers for ultrasonic applications. The new series of components are surface mount (SMD) versions available in five models covering transformation ratios from 1:1:8.42 to 1:1:15 and inductance values ranging from 3 mH to 5 mH (depending on model) ), the operating frequency range is 52 kHz to 300 kHz, and the operating temperature range is -40 °C to +125 °C. All components are AEC-Q200 qualified, with an ultra-compact size design of 9.0 x 7.6 x 7.1 mm, and a shielded design for excellent interference rejection.

     Transformers provide impedance matching between driver integrated circuits (ICs) and ultrasonic transmitters or receivers in ultrasonic applications such as parking assist systems, industrial robots, drones, logistics robots, automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and Fill level measuring system.
