TDK launches PCM120T series shielded SMT power inductors with saturation current up to 80A

     TDK Group has launched a new PCM120T series of shielded SMT power inductors. PCM inductors are specially optimized for high saturation current and low DC resistance applications. The PCM120T series can provide 14 inductance values ranging from 0.4 μH to 10 μH, and the maximum saturation current can reach 80 A, depending on the inductance value L. The new components offer many features and benefits, such as metal alloy cores for excellent saturation characteristics, flat winding construction to minimize losses, and low resistance values from 0.72 mΩ (0.4 μH) to 9 mΩ (10 μH) ( RDC); case with shielded sealed magnetic core, no external air gap, very good EMC performance around the inductor; lead frame structure, ideal for automatic solder joint AOI inspection

     The new series of components are compact at 12.7 x 15.8 x 11.5 mm (W x L x H), feature a wide operating temperature range of -55 °C to +165 °C, meet the requirements of the RoHS directive and are certified to the AEC-Q200 standard.
