TDK Introduces Y2 Film Capacitors for High Temperature Applications

     The TDK Group has launched the new B3202*H/J series EPCOS MKP-Y2 film capacitors for interference suppression applications. The B3202*H/J series has a maximum operating temperature of 125°C compared to conventional models with a maximum operating temperature of 110°C. The new series has a capacitance range of 1nF to 1µF, a maximum voltage rating of 300V AC, and can maintain stable capacitance under severe operating conditions. This series of capacitors can pass the high temperature and high humidity (THB) test at a temperature of 85 °C, a relative humidity of 85%, and an operating voltage of 240V AC, and meets the IEC 60384-14:2013/AMD1:2016 and AEC-Q200D standards.

     These UL and EN certified capacitors are available in 10 mm (B32021H/J*), 15 mm (B32022H/J*), 22.5 mm (B32023H/J*) and 27.5 mm (B32024H/J*) depending on the capacitance and 37.5 mm (B32026H/J) lead spacing. The housing and encapsulation materials of all components have a fire rating of UL94V-0. Typical applications for the new Y2 film capacitors include filters and interference suppression applications under high operating temperature conditions, such as automotive applications.
