TDK Introduces New MEMS Microphone with SoundWire™ Capability

     TDK Group announces the T5828 SoundWire™ MEMS microphone, part of the SmartSound™ family of high-performance products ideal for mobile, True Wireless Stereo (TWS), Internet of Things (IoT) and other consumer devices. This high-performance microphone family pushes the limits of microphone acoustic performance, delivering more advanced functionality in a smaller package size. Featuring a high Acoustic Overload Point (AOP) of 133dB SPL, a high signal-to-noise ratio of 68dBA, and a wide dynamic range, the T5828 SoundWire™ MEMS microphone is suitable for applications ranging from very quiet to very loud.

     The T5828 microphone offers ultra-low power, wide dynamic range SoundWire™ Digital, bringing Acoustic Activity Detection (AAD) to SoundWire™ microphones for the first time, allowing easy configuration within the SoundWire control protocol, including extremely low power 20µA universal activity detection, to high Configurable voice activity detection. Create new sub-modes in the existing high-performance mode and low-power mode, allowing dynamic configuration of microphone performance, including: enhanced AOP mode, 136dB SPL, ultra-low power mode, 95μA (the industry's first sub-100μA digital microphone)
