Synaptics launches high power current sensor MCx1101

     Sina Sensing recently announced the launch of the high current ±65A MCx1101 current sensor. As an industry-leading high-precision high-bandwidth current sensor, the MCx1101 is available in 3.3V and 5.0V versions and is designed for WBG (Wide Bandgap Semiconductor Materials) applications. The high-precision, high-bandwidth AMR (Anisotropic Magnetoresistive) current sensor for a wide range of next-generation power systems and related applications is available now for samples and volume shipments.

     The fast response and high bandwidth of the MCx1101 is ideal for fast switching power stages based on SiC and GaN. Power system design engineers can use higher-speed, smaller WBG original devices to design products in their products. The MCx1101 output step response time is only 0.3us, while also providing the overcurrent detection function required in modern power systems with a response time of 0.2us.

     The MCx1101 offers the unique combination of high accuracy, 1.5MHz signal bandwidth, industry standard phase shift versus frequency, fast output step response and 4.8kV isolation, making it ideal for current sensing and high performance power supplies in fast current control loops, Ideal for protection in frequency converter and motor control applications.

     In addition to the new ±65A version, Synnar's current current sensor family includes ±50A, ±20A and ±5A ranges and is available in both fixed gain (MCA1101) and ratiometric gain (MCR1101).
