Sensirion Introduces SEN54 All-in-One Air Quality Sensor Module

     Environmental sensing specialist Sensirion introduces the SEN54 all-in-one air quality sensor solution for measuring various environmental parameters. Based on Sensirion's proven sensor technology, this environmental sensor module delivers the highest levels of accuracy and reliability, and can be easily integrated into a variety of applications, saving valuable development time and reducing costs.

     Air pollution in indoor environments can be as bad as, or worse than, outdoor environments, with detrimental effects on the health and comfort of occupants. Indoor air pollution may cause short-term health risks such as headaches and dizziness, and may even be associated with long-term health risks such as chronic respiratory disease. Studies show that we spend approximately 80% to 90% of our time in enclosed indoor spaces. Therefore, ensuring good indoor air quality through ventilation or air handling equipment helps to create a safe environment and improve our quality of life. To know when it is time to ventilate or clean the air, it is important to keep abreast of indoor air quality conditions. With the SEN5x environmental sensor modules, we can accurately monitor relevant environmental parameters and provide reports on the concentrations of common pollutants in the air.

     The SEN54 environmental sensor module is an all-in-one sensor solution platform that can be used to accurately measure various environmental parameters, such as particulate matter, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and temperature and humidity. Through proprietary algorithms, the module can be easily integrated into a variety of applications, allowing equipment manufacturers to save valuable project time and human resources.       The SEN54 Environmental Sensor Module is the first product in the SEN5x series and will be available through our distribution network in February 2022. In the second quarter of 2022, we will also launch the same series SEN50 and SEN55, SEN50 is dedicated to measuring particulate matter, SEN55 can measure particulate matter, VOC, nitrogen oxides (NOx) and temperature and humidity. All sensors in the SEN5x series have the same form factor.
