STMicroelectronics ILPS28QSW Absolute Digital Output Dual barometer

     STMicroelectronics ILPS28QSW Absolute Digital Output Dual Barometer is an ultra-compact piezoresistive absolute pressure sensor that can be used as a digital output barometer. The device supports optional dual full range up to 4060hPa. The device combines the sensing element with an IC interface that communicates through an I2C or MIPI I3CSM interface (from the sensing element to the application). The ILPS28QSW has lower power consumption and lower pressure noise compared to its predecessor.

     The STM ILPS28QSW comes in a ceramic LGA package with a metal lid and is guaranteed to operate in the temperature range from -40°C to +105°C. The package is perforated to allow external pressure to reach the sensing element. The gel in the IC protects the electrical components from moisture, and the optional metal cover can be grounded or suspended in the applied PCB layout. Whether to connect the metal cover depends on the customer's target application.
