The FMBD EP is SCHURTER's flagship bipolar filter family, which is more compact than previous products and is suitable for three-phase systems with neutral lines, with special models for high voltage rated applications. The range is suitable for applications with ultra-high electromagnetic radiation, such as equipment and systems for automated production, motor drives, and machinery in industrial plants. This series of powerful filters is also the accessory of choice for modern frequency converters used to control motors.
The FMBD EP series filter products use top-quality components, such as large-size film capacitors and chokes with high permeability, to provide superior wideband filter attenuation performance. The filters in this series have a design current of 16A to 230A at ambient temperatures of 50°C and an operating temperature range of -40°C to 100 °C. The standard version is suitable for industrial applications with leakage current less than 9.4mA, while the special version with leakage current less than 2.5mA is suitable for applications that are sensitive to leakage current.
The filters feature screw terminals for safe wiring, while metal flanges ensure excellent ground performance when the filter is screwed to the chassis. The range is ENEC and cURus certified for up to 520VAC products and ENEC and UR certified for 760VAC products.The redesigned FMBD EP series filters are a perfect replacement for the SCHURTER Group FMBD and FMBD NEO series filters, providing the same performance while significantly reducing their size and weight.
