SCHURTER FMBC EP three-phase two-stage power filter

     SCHURTER has launched the FMBC EP three-phase two-stage filter series, which is suitable for the space-constrained characteristics of today's machines and industrial plants. Due to the high nominal voltage versions available, this series of filters can be used in a wide range of applications.

     Industrial applications using three-phase AC power often have very limited space in the control cabinet. With this in mind, SCHURTER has improved the filter design to solve this problem. The newly designed filter is more compact than previous generations. The new design adopts a nearly cubic shape, maximizing the use of the space of the shell. In addition, the dual-stage filter design, coupled with top-quality components such as large-sized film capacitors and choke coils with high-permeability cores, provide this series with excellent broadband filter attenuation performance.

     This two-stage filter series is mainly suitable for applications with ultra-high electromagnetic compatibility radiation commonly found in the industry. Typical applications include machines and systems for automated production, motor drives and industrial plant machinery. These powerful filters are also the accessories of choice for modern frequency converters used to control motors.

     The FMBC EP series is equipped with screw terminals for safe wiring, while the metal flange ensures excellent grounding performance when the filter is screwed to the chassis.the standard models of this series of filters are suitable for a wide temperature range from -40°C to 100°C, with a design current of 16A to 230A at an ambient temperature of 50°C. These filters are ENEC and cURus certified and are recommended for applications up to 520VAC or even 760VAC.

     The standard version is suitable for industrial applications with leakage current less than 4mA, while the special version with leakage current less than 1mA is suitable for applications sensitive to leakage current.these newly designed FMBC EP models are the perfect replacement for all types of SCHURTER FMBC and FMBC NEO filters. The new version offers the same performance but significantly reduced size and weight.
