Rutronik provides a new Micro SIDELED 3806 RGB and white light products from Osram

     Color can play a big role: ams Micro SIDELED series offers a range of side-emitting LED products for space-constrained applications. These diodes combine high-brightness and low-power characteristics and offer three different heights (0.6mm, 0.8mm, and 1.0mm). These products have a longer service life due to their silicone packaging. The 3806 RGB and 3806 White models extend a Micro SIDELED series. With the 3806 RGB model, you can control three different colors in an ultra-flat case. The 3806 White, which also glows from the side, is 14 per cent brighter than its predecessors and offers excellent value for money.

     Characterized by low forward voltage and high efficiency, Micro SIDELED series require less energy to achieve high brightness, making them ideal for coupling to an optical guide plate.

     In addition, they feature a high ESD resistance voltage (2 kV according to ANSI/ESDA/JEDEC JS-001 (HBM)) and allow for the direct integration of additional ESD protection diodes into the housing if necessary. These side-emitting models have a beam Angle of 120°(Lambert spotlight) and light output of 180 lm/W.

     Side-light products are ideal for applications that require small sized integrated leds, such as signal and symbol lamps, household appliances, ring backlights, consumer electronics and backlights for game consoles or monitors and keyboards.
