Renesas Electronics 32-bit RX Microcontroller Product Family Delivers Billionth Chip

     Renesas Electronics Group, a global semiconductor solutions provider, announced that it has delivered more than 1 billion 32-bit microcontrollers (MCUs) in the RX product family, which use Renesas' proprietary RX CPU core. Since its launch in 2009, the RX product family has expanded into general-purpose, motor control, touch sensing and industrial Ethernet, and is used in a wide range of consumer, industrial and IoT applications. Taking the household air conditioner compressor market as an example, RX MCU has become the choice of more than 70% of the world's major manufacturers with its excellent frequency conversion control capabilities.

      Thanks to the performance advantages of RX MCUs in a wide range of applications, it is expected to achieve an all-time high growth of more than 30% in 2021, and sales will exceed 35 billion yen.
