RECOM Launches OVC III Compliant 2" x 1" 20W AC/DC Converter

     RECOM has added the RAC20E-K/277 series to the E-K series, which is a 20W AC/DC power supply module mounted on a PCB. Although it is an economical design, the package size is only 52.7 mm x 27.6 mm, which is the same as the existing 20W. Due to the different pinout, it is compatible with more industry standards. Full load operation is possible over an extremely wide input range of 85 – 305Vac. The module provides 5V, 12V or 24V single output, the efficiency is above 80%, and the no-load power consumption is less than 200mW in line with the ECO directive. RECOM's E-K series has the same dimensions as the K series, and is compatible with more industry standards due to different pin arrangements.

     A feature of the RAC20E-K/277 is that it has an OVC III overvoltage rating, can operate at 2000m altitude (5000m for OVC II), and has a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +90°C (derating), This makes it ideal for harsh environmental conditions such as roadside EV charging stations, industrial, test and measurement, and general household power supplies, as well as applications including nominal 277Vac power supplies.

     The modules have isolation ratings up to 4kVac and are also UL/IEC/EN 62368-1 and IEC/EN 61558-1/2-16 safety certified. Meets EN 55032 EMC Class B requirements without adding external components.

     Like all RECOM AC/DC products, this module has complete output overvoltage, overcurrent and short circuit protection.
