Qorvo launches a complete V2X front-end solution

     Qorvo, a leading provider of RF solutions for mobile, infrastructure and aerospace and defense applications, introduces the first 47-band /Wi-Fi bulk acoustic wave (BAW) coexistence filter and a V2X front-end product suite based on it. Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) links can be enabled in remote communication units (TCU) and antennas while ensuring reliability. With 286 million connected passenger cars expected to be added to the global fleet from 2019 to 2025, the portfolio provides a ready solution for V2X communications.

     V2X is an umbrella term for vehicle communication technology that allows vehicles to communicate with their surroundings, where information from sensors and other sources is propagated over low-latency, high-reliability links, paving the way for fully autonomous driving. V2X has several components, including vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V), vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I), vehicle-to-pedestrian (V2P), and vehicle-to-network (V2N) communication.

     The Qorvo V2X suite includes the first 47-band /Wi-Fi bulk acoustic wave (BAW) coexistence filter, which enables coexistence with Wi-Fi in the V2X 5.9 GHz band. This capability is essential for creating a reliable connection between the vehicle and its surroundings. It also includes two integrated front-end modules (FEM) that support C-V2X and DSRC systems, a digital stepping attenuator, transmit/receive switches, and low noise amplifiers.
