     Power Integrations Introduces InnoSwitch3-PD with Built-in USB PD Controller to Significantly Reduce Component Count, Maximize Efficiency,the InnoSwitch3-PD IC, the latest addition to our InnoSwitch3 product family, greatly simplifies the development and manufacture of the compact, energy-efficient USB PD power supplies required for smartphones, tablets, laptops and other devices that benefit from fast charging.

     The InnoSwitch3-PD IC is housed in an ultra-thin InSOP-24D package and integrates both USB-C, PD and PPS controllers and high voltage PowiGaN or silicon switches (depending on power level), multi-mode quasi-resonant flyback controller, secondary side Detection circuit, FluxLink isolated digital feedback circuit and synchronous rectifier driver. The IC reduces the BOM component count to half of traditional designs, thereby reducing design time. For original and non-original charger manufacturers, mass production of ultra-thin, ultra-compact chargers can be greatly simplified.
