Pasternack, a brand of Infinite Electronics and a leading supplier of RF, microwave and millimeter wave products, has introduced a new line of Gunn diode waveguide oscillators for electronic warfare, electronic countermeasures, microwave radio systems, military and commercial communications systems and other applications.
Pasternack's new mechanically tunable Gunn diode waveguide oscillator covers waveguide specifications WR-90, WR-42 and WR-28 and supports the X, K and Ka bands. All models in the family operate at 50 ohm loads and include a mechanically tunable screw to fine-tune the output frequency for specific applications. The series offers output power levels of up to +18.5dBm (typical value) and features Indium phosphide (InP) Gunn diodes with higher output power, efficiency and lower AM noise compared to its GaAs counterparts.
These Gunn diode waveguide oscillators are designed in a compact package for high reliability and meet the shock, vibration, altitude and humidity test conditions specified by MIL-STD-202. Designed in a rugged, compact package, the operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C.
