P-DUKE has developed the MCF series of MIL-COTS DC/DC pre-stage filters to meet MIL-STD 1275E (28V DC electrical systems for military vehicles) and MIL-STD 461 (Electromagnetic Interference Control for equipment and subsystems). These filters accept 9-36Vdc input voltages and are suitable for military vehicles, aircraft with 28V or 24V systems, as well as for heavy industry and rolling stock applications.
The MCF series features active input overvoltage protection that clamps the input overvoltage to a safe level of 40V for up to 50ms and absorbs +/-250V spikes. With the added MLCC, the internal EMI filter meets the MIL-STD 461G limit. It also includes a variety of active protection features for further protection of DC/DC converter modules.
The MCF filter module is highly integrated and complies with MIL-STD 1275E, MIL-STD 461G, EN 50155, RIA 12 and NF F 01-510 standards. It reduces design time, saves system space, and provides comprehensive system protection. The MCF pre-filter also meets MIL-STD 810F environmental specifications for shock and vibration and operates in the temperature range -40°C to 105°C (optional -55°C).
The MCF modules are designed for military and rolling stock applications and provide significant cost savings compared to conventional military DC/DC converters with output power ranges up to 250W when used with P-DUKE COTS DC/DC converters.
