ON Semiconductor's intellisense technology enables the 360-degree vision of the AutoX 5th generation autonomous driving system

     ON Semiconductor has announced that its image-sensing and LiDAR technology enables key features of AutoX's fifth-generation fully autonomous system, the AutoX Gen5. The 5th generation of autonomous vehicle technology announced by AutoX at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference enables the first fully autonomous autonomous taxi (RoboTaxi), which aims to enable autonomous driving for the people and make the transportation of people and goods safer and easier.

     Jianxiong Xiao, founder and CEO of AutoX, said: "As we seek to bring Level 4 autonomous robotaxis to market, ON Semiconductor is an obvious partner for all of our perceived needs. The 8-megapixel image sensor AR0820AT can be fused with other sensors for high-resolution cameras. This is crucial in dense urban scenarios, where a wide field of view is needed to capture objects on the sidewalk or at intersections, while extending the actual perceived distance to 300 meters to enable autonomous driving at highway speeds, where objects or signs farther away from the vehicle must be identified to allow for adequate reaction time."

     The AutoX RoboTaxi is equipped with state-of-the-art camera sensors and LiDAR detectors to achieve the highest level of safety. On Semiconductor offers 28 high-resolution 8 megapixel image sensors AR0820AT and 4 LiDAR sensor SiPM arrays that provide panoramic astern imagery with zero blind spots.
