New TVS Diode Array from Littelfuse Protects Consumer Electronics with High 50 A Surge and Low Clamping

     Littelfuse, Inc., a global manufacturer of leading circuit protection, power control and sensing technologies, announces the launch of a new 50 A unidirectional TVS Diode Array Family (SPA Diodes). The SP1250-01ETG 50 unidirectional TVS diode array provides superior protection with lower clamping voltage and low leakage current while saving printed circuit board space compared to existing solutions on the market

     The SP1250 Distributed Unidirectional TVS Diode is fabricated using proprietary silicon avalanche technology. This diode array provides high ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection for consumer electronic devices. The SP1250 series can safely absorb repeated ESD shocks of ±30 kV (contact and air discharge as defined in IEC 61000-4-2) without concern for performance degradation. Each device can dissipate surge events of up to 50 A 8/20 μs.
